VIII. Principals Report

Discussion:
Principal's report was given by Mr. Seth Ford. One-Act held their Community performance on November 12th. One-Act placed 5th at MAC and Districts. FFA Livestock judging has been held in Curtis and Ogallala. Bowling won at the Gering meet and placed 5th at Districts. Congratulations on a great season. GRIT lesson has been about anxiety. Winter Sports has begun. 15 girls and 14 boys are participating in basketball this year. The Brule Lions Club was here on December 3rd to give hearing and vision tests to the students. Attendance meetings were held on December 3rd. Connect the dots meeting has been moved to the spring. Santa Day was held on December 7th. The Kindergarten thru 6th grade and 9th thru 12th grade Christmas concert is on this Thursday. The Junior High Christmas concert will be held on December 17th. The art class went to Denver to the Pixar Exhibit. Students and staff will be going to a movie the last day of school at the Hippodrome Theater in Julesburg. The score boards are not working at the Brule gym.

Discussion:
Superintendent's report was given by Mr. David Spencer. Thank you to the Brule's Lions club for administering the hearing and vision testings. We have a new school messaging system that is hooked up with Powerschool. Mr. Spencer has been attending IEP, MDT and IFEP's. 6th grade will be holding thier wax museum in the gym on Friday. 15 box were shipped to the troops over seas for Christmas from the elementary students. MAC Conference meeting will be on Thursday. The freezer is underway and should be running later this week. We would like to thank Jim and Laura Reichman and Mark and L. McClung for donating the beef and Matt and Jennifer Lofton for donating a hog to the school lunch program. There were adjustments made to the 2017 school budget. Christmas gifts were given to the board from the South Platte Admin, Teachers and Staff.
