Act and Discuss 2020- 2021 Handbook Changes
Action(s):
No Action(s) have been added to this Agenda Item.
Discussion:
Some handbook changes due to policy changes,
Three digital days per semester for students - hopefully people won't send kids when they are sick as much now. Parent says they want to use a digital day, teacher puts assignments up, student has to have homework done by 10:00 next day. What about kid who had to quarantine for days? Administrative discretion probably give them days of digital days. Will have stuff up to digital starting the first day of school, 4-12 online, some teachers possibly already have the lesson recorded from quarantine time, maternity leaves, etc. 24 hour rule - parent can't contact coach/sponsor until 24 hours after game/event, then can have meeting with them and have their kid with them, If continue after told 24 rule, could ban from next game etc depending on how extreme, Extended Campus Coursework - Ryon - What we are already doing and just putting it in writing so we can stay consistent. |

Discuss Return to School Processes
Discussion:
Robby - see what some of your thoughts are on coming back to school, everyone wants to know about masks, opt in/opt out, require, none?
Thursday meet with Return to School committee. As of right now, plan on starting on 19th Amy - if not 6 feet apart, then probably need masks or plexiglass. She feels outside, probably okay. What doing for lunch, all face forward, teacher in front, plexiglass on front and one side, if following guidelines, kids shouldn;t really walk down hall when other kids are, CDC gives recommendations, local control then makes decisions, Amy - biggest risk of spread is lunchroom, maybe bring lunch to room, How do bussing? Kay read surveys that were sent to staff and to parents. Use Schoolreach to alert parents that the survey is available on the school website or is available for pickup at the school office? Matt - on 4-H council and then went to fair board meeting - He said it was 50/50 on have fair vs can't believe that you are holding it, Taking Temps - Take right at the door. Possibly take temp before they get on bus. Staff do temps. Amy - If someone is in class and comes back positive, if six feet apart and pexiglass, then probably wouldn't have to quarantine whole class for 14 days. What about games at night. Do fans have to wear them at games at night? |
