Discuss, consider, and take action to rescind policy 6310
Discussion:
Last year, LB 705 shifted the responsibility of the textbook loan program from school districts to the NDE, beginning July 1, 2024. With this change in mind, Policy 6310 can be rescinded.

Discuss, consider, and take action on preschool enrollment and admission requirements. Policies 5001 and 5013.
Discussion:
LB 71 will allow kindergarten-eligible students to attend preschool. Previously (and within current NDE Rule 11), students generally could not attend preschool after they turned five. The new law allows kindergarten-aged students to continue in preschool, but does not require a school to serve a student beyond age five. The board approved allowing the additional year and adopted a policy for enrollment.

Discuss, consider, and take action on door access replacement - NDE Grant
Discussion:
SDA School applied for a Safe School grant in which they were awarded $20,000. This will add additional door security access to the buildings.
