Conduct a hearing to consider the cancellation, amendment or continuation of the employment of Lori Lindau
Discussion:
Board President Brack turned the conduct of the meeting over to Chad Meisgeier, the attorney representing the board of education for the hearing on the administration’s recommendation that the employment contract of Lori Lindau be cancelled.
Ms. Lindau asked that Board President Brack be recused. The administration opposed Ms. Lindau’s request. The Hearing Officer determined that there was no legal reason for Mr. Brack to recuse himself. However, in order to avoid even the appearance of impropriety, Mr. Brack voluntarily recused himself and removed himself from the board table. The board heard evidence concerning Ms. Lindau’s employment. At 2:13 a.m., Ms. Lindau’s attorney requested that the board suspend the hearing and reconvene at a later date. The administration opposed Ms. Lindau’s request. The board’s representative determined to suspend the hearing and the hearing officer and attorneys for the parties are directed to work to arrange for a subsequent hearing date. |
