9.2.1. Fall activities accomplishments: Boys X-C 2nd at State for 2nd year in a row; Football made play-offs for first time since 2009; Volleyball, best finishing record since 2010; LHS marching band received top ratings in all their competitions; LHS Yearbook took 9th place in its category at the JEA national competition in Chicago. Congratulations to all students, coaches, and sponsors!
9.2.2. Reminder: NASB/NASA State Convention Nov. 14-16.
9.2.3. Possible need for short special meeting to hire construction manager December 19 or 20?
9.2.4. Thanks and best wishes to Chad Reutlinger who is being promoted and will not continue as SRO.
9.2.5. Visitors to LPS so far this year: Omaha World-Herald columnist Dirk Chatelain; UNL Chancellor Ronnie Green; NDE Commissioner Matt Blomstedt, Deputy Commissioner Deb Frison, and Director of Accountability Lane Carr; Senators Matt Williams, Lynne Walz, and Bob Krist; NASB Director of Member Engagement Sharon Endorff; and free-lance writer Jahd Kalil, among others.
9.2.6. Lexington, Lincoln, and Grand Island Public Schools were recipients of a family engagement grant sponsored by the National Center for Family Learning. Our first meeting is next week. See attached announcement.
