Board Member Paul Snyder noted it was very interesting to look through the first reading of Board policies that were presented this evening and to take note of how much the legislature is interfering with public school education. Paul stated it is overwhelming what is required of the District each year that was not required before.
Board Member Rob Polk commented he was also surprised after joining the Policy Committee to learn how much the legislature affects the District each year. |

Superintendent Dr. Andrew Dick extended thanks to Beth Rohrer and Reagan True for organizing and coordinating another very successful Staff Appreciation Festival. Dr. Dick stated that the weather required a change in plans, but they were able to pull off a very successful event that was appreciated by those who attended, noting there was a significant amount of positive feedback from staff members. Dr. Dick also recognized Director of Communication Melissa Price for receiving national honors from the National School Public Relations Association for outstanding school communications. He noted this is the second year that Scottsbluff Schools has brought home multiple national awards. The pieces recognized this year include the SBPS Insider Newsletter, the "You Belong Here" Teacher Recruitment Publication, and the District's 2024-2025 Annual Report. Dr. Dick congratulated Melissa and thanked her for her outstanding work. |
