1. Call to Order

Discussion: The Executive Committee of the Marshall County Board of Education, comprised of Chairman of the Board Donnie Moses and Director of Schools Jackie Abernathy, spoke by phone Friday, February 13, 2015, at approximately 12:30 p.m. to discuss the results of a tour of Forrest School.

2. Forrest Gym Plans (following Forrest tour)

Motion Passed:

Hold up on starting the Forrest gym plans until the board can meet and determine needs; demolition will go on as agreed during the February 9, 2015, meeting of the board Passed with a motion by Mr. Donnie Moses and a second by Mrs. Jackie Abernathy.

Discussion: Ms. Abernathy informed Mr. Moses that on Thursday, February 12, 2015, she, along with Deputy Director of Schools Jacob Sorrells and Finance Director Janet Wiles, toured Forrest School with John Trail of Johnson +Bailey, Rick Daughrity of Orion, and Forrest principal Davy McClaran. Questions were asked during the tour concerning the chemistry lab, concession stand, lobby, and available space. The executive committee based their vote on what was revealed during the tour.

Discussion: The meeting adjourned at approximately 12:45 p.m.
