The district’s ELL teachers are currently working on the development of curriculum objectives for our Second Language students. Our purpose is to identify essential language skills and a sequence to teaching those skills. We are hoping to have this complete by May 2009.

March 26 is the local Arts Festival for public school 3rd and 4th graders. The activities are organized by art instructors Jackie Ruzicka and Sue Burns from NPS and Chris Rempe from the Norfolk Arts Center. If you are free anytime during the day on the 26th, slip over and take a look at what they do.

Spring sports practice started on Monday 2 March. So those activities will begin soon.

Speech and debate activities for NPS will be finishing up this month. Hopefully you have been able to keep track of their success this month.

NPS will again be participating in the NEEC Jazz Festival this month.

The spring musical is "Bye, Bye, Birdie" and performances will be March 26-28.

MS, JH and SH counselors are nearing the completion of the student registration process at their schools. From what the counselors shared at our Guidance Meeting, the registration process has gone very well this year.
