V. Interview Firm: BVH
Discussion:
Jim Berg (BVH) , Dan Spiry (BVH), Dan Thompson (NTI), and Dan Keiter (RVW)
Berg introduced the presentation team and primary roles of all participants.
Spiry discussed some design components of recent school projects and the Columbus Armed Forces Reserve Center and Columbus First United Methodist Church projects.
Berg discussed the planning process and noted a 95% success rate on first vote.

VI. Interview Firm: Clark-Enersen
Discussion:
Tim Ripp introduced the team consisting of JoAnne Kiussel, Jeff Chadwick, Dennis Scheer, TJ Schirmer, and Bob Everitt, all of Clark-Enersen, James Seaman (Fielding Nair Int'l, school design specialty firm), and Dan Keiter (RVW)
Description of some design features that Clark-Enerson and/or Fielding-Nair have utilized to maximize space utilization and to provide for a variety of instructional activities.
Discussion of the communications message was led by Kissel. Vitale&Assoc. would also be involved with this process.

VII. Interview Firm: DLR
Discussion:
Pat Phelan, Curtis Johnson, Mark Brim, and Scott Gatewood, all from DLR, and Dan Keiter (RVW).
Dan addressed the importance of having local eyes and ears involvement with the project.
Presentation theme was listen, design, deliver. Phelan elaborated on each element, as did others on the team. He showed the expertise and interaction between DLR, RVW, and Gilmore&Assoc.

VIII. Interview Firm: Davis Designs
Discussion:
Jon Dalton introduced the presentation team of Leroy Svatora and Dave Hempl of Davis Design, Grant Creager (CG Architects), and Dan Keiter (RVW). Dalton noted Davis Design is a full-service firm. Dalton explained the respective roles of each of the introduced team members.
Dalton referred to some recent work in Columbus (Nantkes Auditorium, Ernst Toyota, and upcoming Steffy Ford renovation).
Creager discussed the bond campaign process.

IX. Board Discussion
Discussion:
Board members and CPS staff present discussed the relative merits of the interviewed firms. Each board member and CPS representative rated the firms and Dr. Loeffelholz compiled results on the white board.
