I.E. Curriculum Review
|
I.E.1. TCi Materials for the following courses: World History, US History, American Government, and Economics
Discussion:
Patrick Clark, Social Studies Teacher from CHS shared the information regarding what the high school group really likes about the TCi curriculum. He said the friendliness of the curriculum and the fact of everything can be printed if you choose not to teach a lesson digitally. They feel it is very well written, and a good level for students. Great hand out and interactive digital activities. The group also really likes that each lesson offers multiple perspectives. Mr. Clark said he is glad both levels chose the same curriculum, there will be so much consistency from grade 5 through high school. |
I.E.2. TCi materials for the following courses: Social Studies 5, Social Studies 6, Social Studies 7, Social Studies 8
Discussion:
Christina Nilson, Social Studies Teacher from CMS shared the information from the review in their building, the teachers feel these are really great lessons written by teachers. They felt it was a better fit, easy to navigate and the materials that are included are great. This curriculum reaches out to different types of learners, students have access to the whole book, all activities are built in. Amy Romshek, Director of Curriculum, said each classroom will have a set of textbooks as well as the online licenses for all students. |
