1. Open Meeting

Rationale:

In accordance with Nebraska law, a copy of the Open Meetings Act can be found in the back of the community room.
Items listed on the agenda may be considered in any order.

Discussion: Parks & Recreation Committee Chair Kyle Frans called the meeting to order at 5:07pm.

2. Roll Call

Rationale:

Attendance of members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions.

Discussion: Also present: City Administrator Tom Ourada, City Clerk Judi Meyer, Finance Director Jerry Wilcox, City Attorney Kyle Manley, other City Council Members. No members of the public were physically in attendance due to COVID-19 assembly restrictions. Members of the public were provided information for attending by teleconference.

3. Items of Business

Rationale:

Action may be taken to discuss/limit discussion, to hear testimony in favor of or in opposition to, and to provide a recommendation to the City Council on any matter presented under this title.

3.A. Discuss and provide a recommendation to the City Council regarding swimming pool operations for the 2020 summer season.

Action(s):

Motion Carried:

Recommend City Council not open the city pool for the 2020 season due to COVID-19. Carried with a motion by Jack Oelschlager and a second by Dale Strehle.

4. Officers' Reports

Rationale:

Reports may be given by the Mayor, Officers, Departments, or Councilmembers concerning the current operations of the City.
No action can be taken on matters presented under this title except to answer any questions or to refer the matter for further action.

Discussion: Several council members reported that groups of more than ten have been observed in several Crete parks. Due to COVID-19 recommendations, groups should be limited to ten or fewer persons. Council members requested that Chief Hensel inform officers to be aware of this.

Discussion: The meeting was adjourned at 5:17pm.
