1. Open Meeting

Rationale:

In accordance with Nebraska law, a copy of the Open Meetings Act can be found in the back of the Community Room.
Items listed on the agenda may be considered in any order.

Discussion: Committee Chair Kyle Frans called the meeting to order at 4:30pm.

2. Roll Call

Rationale:

Attendance of members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions.

3. Items of Business

Rationale:

The Committee may discuss or limit discussion on, hear testimony in favor of or in opposition to, or take action to provide a recommendation to the City Council on any matter presented under this title.

3.A. Discuss and provide a recommendation to the City Council regarding opening baseball and softball fields in accordance with the Governor's guidance for resuming baseball and softball.

Discussion: Discussion was held regarding various aspects of consideration for opening the ball parks. Mitch Homolka, Dr Amy Vertin, and Dr. Jason Hessar provided information regarding health concerns and processes. Scott Piening will send an example waiver. The City Council will hold a special meeting on this topic on May 26, 2020 at 5:00pm.

4. Officers' Reports

Rationale:

Reports may be given by the Mayor, Officers, Departments, or Councilmembers concerning the current operations of the City.
