The City Council has posted a copy of the Open Meetings Act, Laws of the State of Nebraska, in the back of the council chambers. Additional copies are available to read, if anyone wishes one during this meeting, please advise. 6. Officers' Reports
Rationale:
Reports may be given by Department Heads, Committees and Council members concerning current operations of the City. Questions may be asked and answered. No action can be taken by the Council on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posed and to refer the matter for further action.
Discussion:
Community Assistance Director Dulce Costaneda - A Home Ownership Seminar will be held next week in partnership with local financing and real estate agencies.
A screening of documentary about DACA youth will be held March 5th. Council member Dave Bauer - Downtown loading and unloading of trucks is becoming an issue. City Administrator Tom Ourada - City Code for business registrations is being reviewed by staff for consideration of the City Council in the future. The Chamber President and Director have been notified that the City will need the office space now occupied by the chamber so they will need to move. The boarding house has been razed so the parking lot will be available after the weather allows for backfilling the property. The old hospital/new library site is being backfilled as weather permits. The Street Department is looking into the equipment needed to apply brine for de-icing the streets. A proposal to complete the GIS layering of utility mapping will be reviewed by the Public Works Committee. The Community Development Agency will meet March 20th to consider an amendment to the Hotel TIF Agreement. The Economic Development Advisory Board has agreed to review an application for funds to be used for infill housing in the City. A meeting has been scheduled with a developer that is interested in a NIFA application for a housing developement.

8. Adjournment
Rationale:
The city council will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. The city council may enter into closed session to discuss any matter on this agenda when it is determined by the council that it is clearly necessary for protection of the public interest or the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual and if such and individual has not requested a public meeting, or as otherwise allowed by law. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called. If the motion to close passes, then the presiding officer immediately prior to the closed session shall restate on the record the limitation of the subject matter of the closed session.
