4.C. Mayor's Appointments
Rationale:
The Mayor desires to appoint William Findlay to fill the vacancy left by Officer George Scusa who retired on November 2, 2012. Mr. Findlay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Bellevue University and an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice from Metropolitan Community College, Omaha. He also has a year of corrections experience with the Nebraska Department of Corrections.

4.D. Parking south side of 13th Street February 16th, 2013
Rationale:
Chief Hensel will share information regarding a request to support an activity at the Isis Theater on February 16, 2013. Safety and traffic control efforts will require prohibiting parking ½ block on the south side of 13th St/Hwy 33 from Norman east to the alley from 4:00PM through 10:00PM. This prohibition will give the Police Department authority to ensure these spaces are cleared prior to the event and permit attendees to safely unload and load immediately in front of the Isis Theater.

8. Adjournment
Rationale:
The city council will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. The city council may enter into closed session to discuss any matter on this agenda when it is determined by the council that it is clearly necessary for protection of the public interest or the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual and if such and individual has not requested a public meeting, or as otherwise allowed by law. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called. If the motion to close passes, then the presiding officer immediately prior to the closed session shall restate on the record the limitation of the subject matter of the closed session.
