Committee Chair Ryan Hinz called the meeting to order at 5:32pm.

3.A. Discuss enacting an ordinance imposing an occupation tax on video gaming machines.
Discussion:
Committee members discussed several items including what types of amusement devices were and weren't included in the existing ordinance (pinball machines, pool tables, etc), whether the invoicing could be included as part of the business registration process, and who would assess locations having the devices (code enforcement officer potentially).

3.B. Discuss updating the Comprehensive Plan.
Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada described the need for the update and when this might begin.

3.C. Discuss a bid letting date for the Keno Operator Request for Proposal.
Discussion:
The committee will begin looking at the evaluation criteria in February.

|
3.D. Discuss and provide a recommendation to the City Council on adopting an external social media policy for the Crete Public Library.
Discussion:
Committee members asked how this new policy differs from the existing city-wide media policy. This will be researched and brought back to the committee.
