1. Open Meeting
Rationale:
The City Council has posted a copy of the Open Meetings Act, Laws of the State of Nebraska, in the back of the council chambers. Additional copies are available to read, if anyone wishes one during this meeting, please advise. As each agenda item is considered, if there are any questions concerning the agenda item please advise. The City Council may consider items listed on the agenda in random order. The City Council has assisted listening devices available, if needed please advise. Please stand and Pledge Allegiance to the Flag.

3. Petitions - Communications - Citizen Concern
Rationale:
No action can be taken by the council on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posed and/or to refer the matter for further action. Testimony may be limited to 3 minutes per person. Please do not repeat testimony that has already be heard.
Discussion:
Mary Moser, business owner of 1314-18 Main Ave. protested the removal of parking spaces in order to install trees in the downtown commercial area and stated that business owners weren't given advance notice. Council Member Dave Bauer responded to Ms. Moser's questions and provided information about the downtown activities.
Steven Rickez resident at 422 E 22nd St. stated that as a member of the Riptides Swim Team he would like to see more space added to the swimming pool for swim team practices. They often experience eight members per lane during warmups. He stated that he would like to see the money presently proposed for the splash pad reconstruction go towards expanding and improving the primary pool.

6. Officers' Reports
Rationale:
Reports may be given by Department Heads, Committees and Council members concerning current operations of the City. Questions may be asked and answered. No action can be taken by the Council on matters presented under this title except to answer any question posed and to refer the matter for further action.
Discussion:
Council Member Ryan Hinz commented that he isn't necessarily against the Orscheln project, he would just have preferred uses more in conjunction with the new hotel in that location, such as restaurants. Mayor Foster reported that the lion drinking fountain has been installed in City Park, and that City Park is becoming a destination. City Administrator Ourada reported that 2,590 people have reacted favorably to the lion fountain on the city's Facebook page. New Bandstand lights have also been installed. Mr. Ourada also reported that the new parking lot has been completed and will have 24 parking stalls. Council Member Bauer commented on several items that city residents should remove garage sale signs from poles and should remove their grass clippings that blow into the street. He also reported that the Brew House is on the Nebraska Passport and has had 500-600 visitors as a result of the program.

8. Adjournment
Rationale:
The city council will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. The city council may enter into closed session to discuss any matter on this agenda when it is determined by the council that it is clearly necessary for protection of the public interest or the prevention of needless injury to the reputation of an individual and if such and individual has not requested a public meeting, or as otherwise allowed by law. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called. If the motion to close passes, then the presiding officer immediately prior to the closed session shall restate on the record the limitation of the subject matter of the closed session. The City of Crete assures that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age, disability, handicap or sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity of the City receiving Federal financial assistance.
