3.A. Sueper Request for Variance at 420 S Boswell Ave.
Rationale:
Jim Sueper has an existing 748 square foot accessory building (garage) on his property at 420 South Boswell. A variance from 11-503 (E.) would allow him to erect a 20’ x 30’ Carport in his backyard to store his boat. Carports are considered an accessory building just like a garage or garden shed would be. Our City code reads as follows.
11-503 E. Maximum number of accessory buildings. There shall be a maximum of one (1) primary accessory garage with a maximum of 864 square feet or one-half the area of the first floor of the principle dwelling, whichever is greater; and two (2) accessory storage buildings not to exceed 10’ x 12’ in size.

Rationale:
The City Council Committee will review the above matters and take such actions as they deem appropriate. Any closed session shall be limited to the subject matter for which the closed session was called. If the motion to close passes, then the presiding officer immediately prior to the closed session shall restate on the record the limitation of the subject matter of the closed session.
