3.A. Public Hearing for the purpose of hearing support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers relating to the proposed budget.
Discussion:
Members of the public had a chance to speak, question, support or oppose the proposed budget, but none were present at the hearing. City Administrator Tom Ourada informed the Council about each department's overall budget and explained any changes from the previous year's budget. Ourada commented on how well each department head did with their budgets and complimented Clerk-Treasurer Jerry Wilcox for a very well-put-together budget. Wilcox spoke on the state budget forms, describing the differences from last year's forms. Both Wilcox and Ourada touched on the City's interlocal agreements, clarifying restricted funds versus unrestricted funds.
