3.B. Provide a recommendation to the City Council on entering into an agreement with Lincoln/Lancaster County EMS Oversight Authority for EMT training and medical oversight in the amount of $1,100 per year for 5 years.
Discussion:
Assistant Fire Chief James Yost informed the committee that this is the same oversight authority we've been working with and that they are very knowledgeable and are easy to work with. The city attorney had some concerns about the agreement being 5 years instead of 3 and about the agreement being with the Fire Station and not with the City. Recommendation and approval will be pending those changes to the agreement.

3.C. Discuss expansion of the fire station.
Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada reported looking into the funding mechanism for both a new fire station and for just an expansion. The USDA will go out 40 years for the project, not with the City itself, but with an LLC that has City involvement and/or City oversight. This process will take multiple meetings to discuss and come to a decision.
