1. Open Meeting

Rationale:

In accordance with Nebraska law, a copy of the Open Meetings Act can be found in the back of the Council Chambers.
Items listed on the agenda may be considered in any order.

2. Roll Call

Rationale:

Attendance of members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions.

3. Items of Business

Rationale:

The Committee may discuss or limit discussion on, hear testimony in favor of or in opposition to, or take action to provide a recommendation to the City Council on any matter presented under this title.

3.A. Review the report on Minority Health in Saline County by Public Health Solutions and discuss whether the information should be integrated into the Comprehensive Development Plan.

Discussion: City Administrator Tom Ourada informed the Committee that he sent the report to the Comprehensive Planner, who thought it could be in the Comprehensive Plan, in the Strategic Planning process, or neither one. Strategic Planning has a time frame of 2-5 years, where the Comprehensive Plan is more like 25-40 years. This report has a mix of both short-term and long-term information. The Committee discussed it going to Strategic Planning to start.

Motion Carried:

Recommend that the information from Public Health Solution's report on Minority Health be discussed at the Strategic Planning session. Carried with a motion by Jack Oelschlager and a second by Dale Strehle.
