1. Open Meeting

Rationale:

In accordance with Nebraska law, a copy of the Open Meetings Act can be found in the back of the Council Chambers.
Items listed on the agenda may be considered in any order.

2. Roll Call

Rationale:

Attendance of members will be recorded to determine the presence of a quorum for official actions.

3. Items of Business

Rationale:

The Committee may discuss or limit discussion on, hear testimony in favor of or in opposition to, or take action to provide a recommendation to the City Council on any matter presented under this title.

3.A. Provide a recommendation to the City Council on approving the proposed bid for the City Park expansion project.

Discussion: City Administrator Tom Ourada reported that there was only one bid for the project and it was very high. It was over $80,000 above the engineer's estimate. Ourada's recommendation was to reject the bid and try re-bidding in the spring, when there will hopefully be more bids.

Action(s):

Motion Carried:

Reject the proposed bid for the City Park expansion project and re-bid in the spring. Carried with a motion by Dale Strehle and a second by Jack Oelschlager.
