3.A. Provide a recommendation to the City Council on the Mayor's appointments to the Historical Preservation Commission; Janet Jeffries 1/1/2026, Scott Kuncl 1/1/2024, and Jennifer Robison 1/1/25.
Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada relayed to the Committee that he interviewed each of the appointments and he, along with the Mayor, feel like they would be a great fit. Janet Jeffries also agreed to help find two other experts in the subject to fill the other vacancies on the Commission.

3.B. Provide a recommendation to the City Council on awarding Gold Star Martial Arts Downtown Revitalization funds in the amount of $47,616.00.
Discussion:
City Administrator Tom Ourada stated that Gold Star Martial Arts was the first one out of the DTR program when the grant money ran out. However, a number of participants have dropped out of the program, so there will now be money left over to award to another business. If approved by the Council, the recommendation will then need to go to the Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD) and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (NDED).
