Rationale:
An ordinance approving the annexation of 3 tracts of land on the eastside of State Highway 103 south of the city limits
Discussion:
Bruce Vitosh and Jerry Enns representing Norris Public Power District presented information in opposition to the annexation. NPPD believes that this is a strip annexation, not adjacent to the City, to get the new WWTP into the City's electric service territory. It is also ag in nature and not suburban. Statute requires that the electric utilities serve Nebraskans with the most reasonably priced energy and it appears that it would be much more costly for the City to serve the WWTP.
