I. Meeting Roll Call
Discussion:
A meeting of the Board of Education of Springfield Platteview Community Schools in the County of Sarpy, in the State of Nebraska, was convened in open and public session at 7:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, at the SPCS Administration Building. Present: Kyle Fisher, Brenda Guenther, Adam Larson, Brian Osborn, Lisa Roseland, Lee Smith. Absent: none.

II. Notice of Open Meetings Act - Posted
Discussion:
Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by posting in at least five public places as shown by the certificate of posting notice attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting was simultaneously given to all members of the Board of Education, and a copy of their acknowledgment of receipt of notice and the agenda was communicated in the advance notice and in the notice to the Board of Education of this meeting. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public. Statute 84-1407 to 84-1414 require that the Open Meetings Act be posted in the meeting room. President Roseland informed the board and the public that the Act is located on the west wall of the board room.

Discussion:
The Board discussed the policy and procedures on facility use of the district buildings and school property.

Discussion:
Future projects in the district were discussed as part of the Master Planning process.

IV.C. Belterra Land Transfer to PLVS
Discussion:
The Board considered a legal land transfer of phase 3 of Belterra to Papillion Lavista Community Schools.

IV.D. Early Retirement Incentive Policy Reminder and Review of changes from last year
Discussion:
The Board reviewed the Early Retirement Incentive Policy and the changes that were made last year.

IV.E. Superintendent Evaluation Committee Report
Discussion:
Board Member Fisher updated the Board on the Evaluation Committee and timeline of the Superintendent Evaluation process.

IV.F. Veteran's Day Program
Discussion:
Platteview High School will be having their Veterans Day Ceremony on Monday November 11th @ 10:00 a.m.
