Faculty Report - Kyle Knaub
Discussion:
Kyle Knaub introduced himself to the board.
K-6 was added to his teaching schedule in 2017-18. Created a curriculum to begin reading music, staffs, notes, and singing it. They used scales and echos to learn their pitch. As they move forward they will blend sounds, add harmony. Increasing our singing will make our program better. Then we build on the Kindergarten. The kids are now having music everyday and we are grouping grades. We will now being teaching instruments as early as 3rd grade. The kids are doing more with instruments and vocal throughout the time together. In junior high we have combined the music classes and we will have all the kids playing an instrument. |
