Discussion:
Board members summarized the sessions they attended at the recent NASB Area Meeting in Kearney. Information shared included: Teacher Shortage Seminar, SPED biggest shortage area , new teacher's burnout after 5 years, foreign exchange teachers certification is difficult, Open Meetings laws, Superintendent evaluation, stakeholder goals, Mission of Board, strategic planning, boundaries for staff and students. Schools have a greater responsibility to intervene.

Shout outs were given to the elementary staff and paraprofessionals for the effort given to insure new students have been welcomed and accommodation for learning have been put into place.
