II.A. Warrior Improvement Team

II.A.1. "Flipping the Building"
Discussion:
Mrs. Nagel walked the board through the proposal going up to the WIT team tomorrow from the leadership domain. She provided maps and the history of discussion that has happened so far. |

II.B. Building Project Update
Discussion:
Information regarding the dates for the gym floor refinish were shared. The other projects are still being scheduled. |

II.C. NSAA Regulations Update
Discussion:
Mr. Hajek shared information about the awards night, new football scoreboard, expansion on basketball scoreboard, schedules for 17-18, DPI, Santee Golf Invitational, sportsmanship, district music competitor for the first time, season incentive trips, practice requirement to compete in first varsity competition, and All star game participant.
The tribe can pay fees for kids going to tournaments, camps, clinics, etc. School facilities must be rented to be used by other entities off season. School vehicles, jersies, and any other Santee Community School apparel cannot be used for summer play.
All NSAA questions should be directed to Mr. Hajek and he will make sure to get ahold of the NSAA to make sure we are in compliance. All activities and athletics should filter through Mr. Hajek. We are currently working on a partnership with community groups to set requirements included attendance, grades, behavior in order to participate and be gone from school. Parents can ultimately check out kids but we would like to work with adult sponsors in support of student achievement. |
