II.A. Parking Lot Repair

II.B. Graduation Policy
Discussion:
We would like to include attendance to our graduation policy. Two readings will be required. Part of the requirement for graduation will be attendance. We want to make sure we consider early graduates. The focus has been 270 credits. Need to clarify policy with what is happening with tardies and absences. The truancy diversion program and truancy officer position were discussed.

II.C. School Handbooks
Discussion:
They need to be approved before school starts. Principals are waiting for a Code of conduct. All the simple changes have been made. They have also been waiting for the next Superintendent. A discussion was started about the number of student handbooks. There was a discussion about the alternative education program. The program also covers credit recovery. A discussion followed about the incoming CTE program, pathways, opportunities, and real life experiences. Would like to have a special Board meeting so it is approved before August 14. |
