Discuss, consider, invite public comment and take all necessary action to appoint a qualified registered voter of the district and has expressed an interest in school affairs to fill the vacancy on the Santee Community Schools Board of Education was created on June 1, 2020 when Cindy Whipple was absent for more than two consecutive regular meetings of the board.

Discussion:
President Moose: Pursuant to section 32-570(1) of the Nebraska statutes, a vacancy on the Santee Community Schools Board of Education was created on June 1, 2020 when Cindy Whipple was absent for more than two consecutive regular meetings of the board; and Section 32-570(3) provides for the remaining members of the board to fill the vacancy temporarily by appointment of a qualified registered voter; and he board provided advance publicized notice of the meeting to be held on June 24, 2020 to take public comments on candidates and to appoint a new member to fill the vacancy; and Stacy Jo Johnson is a qualified registered voter of the district and has expressed an interest in school affairs.
