Discussion:  DeWayne Wabasha entered at 12:13pm.

Discussion:  Jason Folkers addressed the board.

Discussion:  Received notice from NDE that our Master Calendar and Schedule meet the requirements for Rule 10, correcting the previous violations.

Discussion:  They are looking to have the project go to hard bid. Is a General Contractor needed or Manager at Risk   Mr. Hayes, is asking for a GMP, at 2.8 million or hard bid and get rid of fees.  More information at the Regular Board meeting on August 13th meeting. 
Mr. Hayes discussed the preschool and building project. Creating availability, for community daycare in the future. The board asked if the modular would be available.

Discussion:  Mr. Hayes would the board like to offer meals to all staff. Building relationships while eating would be a benefit for all staff.

Discussion:  The board has had an on-going interest in implementing culture into our school.  Mr. Hayes shared that he has spoke with Redwing Thomas, who is interested in being our Dakota Cultural Teacher, teaching Dakota Language I & II, and Cultural Courses. Starting our mornings with smudging, introducing students to Dakota art, culture, and working with teachers.

Discussion:  We are implementing K-12 Math and K-8 ELA.  The plan is to make an implementation process for the remaining contents that is sustainable, and allows fidelity in the implementation process.  The idea would be to pilot (Science) this year with a purchase for next year.  We also need to continue to look at how we support the implementation of the curriculum.
