President Opela called the regular meeting to order of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 6:32 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2020, in the library at Stapleton Public Schools.

President Opela asked if there was any public comment and referred to the guidelines in the agenda.
Senior Class President Hope Wade, Vice President Jasmine Coco and class member Kylee Goodrich presented 2 proposals regarding a senior educational trip that they are requesting the board approved with class funds. Pre-K teacher, Syd Rundback, presented to the board her program highlights, classroom size, ECERS-3 visit with a 5.24 overall score, Step-Up-To-Quality Program, and yearly activities. |

Discussion:
Lacy Kinderknecht gave her Community Liaisons' report which included: Foundation Gala on March 6th update, James Heinemann was spelling bee winner, March 10th Pie Social and Family Night, Community Day is Wednesday, April 29th, and the social studies/science fair is May 4th which will also be the night for fine arts.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Tera Kostelecky included the following: girls and boys basketball sub-districts are approaching, speech is doing very well in their meets, Tyler Wolfe qualified for State Wrestling and there will be a send off for him on Wednesday at 2:50 p.m. and student art work at MNAC art had a great showing in Broken Bow.

Superintendent Gaffney's report presented information on the following: preparation for superintendent interviews, six grade position, financing of building projects, score clock, carpet and lighting updates, custodial contract, NASB board member workshop, MNAC art show, principal salary array, ESU #16 contract, 2019 Post School Outcomes Survey, State wrestling meet, and architect update.

Principal Walker's report included: grants, honor roll for 2nd quarter/semester, kindergarten round-up, and parent-teacher conferences and recognize Hope Wade, Steven Cain and Citori Kramer for their great help during the superintendent candidate interviews.
