February 15, 2020 at 8:45 AM - BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

Discussion:  President Kristy Opela called a special meeting of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 8:46 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Stapleton School Library in Stapleton.

Discussion:  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Discussion:  President Opela observed Open Meeting Law requirements. 

Discussion:  Notice of the meeting was given in advance by the board approved method of meeting notice along with notice to the president of the board and all members prior to the meeting date.

Discussion:  The new business at this meeting was to interview and possible selection of a new superintendent.

The first interview began with Brian Redinger.

There was recess at 10:15 a.m. and the meeting resumed at 10:25 a.m. to interview Jackie Anderson.

There was a recess and lunch break at 11:35 a.m. and the meeting resumed at 12:30 p.m. to interview Stuart Lenz.

There was a recess at 1:45 p.m. and the meeting resumed at 2:00 p.m. to interview Stephen Osborn.

There was a recess at 3:20 p.m. and the meeting resumed at 3:30 p.m. to meet with faculty and staff representatives.

F. Kramer made a motion to hire Brian Redinger.  Second by Burnside.  Motion rescinded by F. Kramer.

Discussion:  The next scheduled meeting will be the regular board meeting held on Monday, February 17, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. in the school library.

Discussion:  President Opela adjourned the meeting at 5:55 p.m.
