Discussion:
Notice of the meeting was published in the Stapleton Enterprise on Thursday, October 15, 2020, and posted at five local business along with notice to the president of the board and all members prior to the meeting date.

Public Comment and Recognition of Visitors
Discussion:
President Opela asked if there was any public comment and referred to the guidelines in the agenda.
Duane McClain addressed the board regarding a past covid situation on social media and apologized to the board if he was wrong. Robin Dimmitt, Missy Kramer and Tim Karn addressed the board stating their views, whether pro, con, and/or indifference, regarding students wearing masks. They related this to the classroom and activities. |

Erin Lindeman, art instructor, and Bryce Funk, industrial arts/ag instructor/FFA sponsor, both presented to the board their curriculum and what the students are doing in each of their classes.

Discussion:
The treasurer's report was presented by Superintendent Gaffney.

Community Liaison
Discussion:
Lacy Kinderknecht gave her Community Liaisons' report which included: Congratulations to Kyle Kramer, Kelsey Amos, Scarlett Weitzel, Megan Amos, Marianne Zuniga and Caleb Burnside for being selected as the 2020-2021 Stapleton Chamber of Commerce Junior Council Members, elementary celebration video, National Geographic canceled the Geography Bee for this year, but Spelling Bee is Wednesday, January 27th, new website template being worked on, Stapleton School Improvement Committee, new texting service on school's schools website, and elementary math fact expectations.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Jason Wehnes included the following: winding down fall sports season, football qualified for state playoffs, congratulations to Collin Rooney on placing 4th and Jared Trimble placing 15th at district cross country, qualifying the whole team for state, volleyball has two triangulars left before sub-districts, junior high football and volleyball is over with wrestling practice beginning, One-Act practice has started also, Covid expectations from NSAA for post fall sports season, and winter sports season will soon be here.

Discussion:
Principal Walker's report included: October 12 In-service, Congratulations Stapleton High School won a 2020 College Success Award from GreatSchools.org, HAL, ReVISION Grant, Target Improvement Plan, New Teacher Academy, Nebraska School Safety Psychological First Aid for Schools training, health checks, Veterans Day Program will be virtual this year and February parent teacher conferences.
