President Opela called the regular meeting to order of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:35 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2019, in the library at Stapleton Public Schools.

Discussion:
The treasurer's report was presented to the Board by Superintendent Gaffney.

Community Liaison
Discussion:
Lacy Kinderknecht gave her Community Liaisons' report which included: October Chamber Meeting was attended and included Jingle Bell Shop, 2 upcoming ribbon cuttings, receipt drawing, and Trunk or Treat. The Chamber donated $5 Chamber Bucks to Halloween costume winners. The One-Act Soup Supper, family night and play is Tuesday, November 19th, with family night centered around reading. The Elementary Christmas Concert will be Thursday, December 5th with Community First Bank providing candy canes for Santa after the Christmas program. Materials are being prepared for the Spelling Bee and Geography Bee taking place in December and January.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Tera Kostelecky included the following: high school volleyball is over and Alyson Nicholson received an Honorable Mention All-Conference. High school football was a huge success as we hosted the 2nd round playoff game. A huge thank you to everyone that helped make the night happen for not only our boys, but for the communities. The support was remarkable and the program has been extremely thankful. Winter sports practice begins today and enthusiasm of the students seems high. Junior high wrestling is in North Platte tonight and Mullen on Friday for their final meet. One Acts has been performing exceptionally well with many outstanding performer awards and they have placed at every meet attended. The Soup Supper is tomorrow at 6 p.m. with the performance at 7 p.m. Conference is in Arnold on Thursday.

Board Committee Reports
Discussion:
Minutes from the Coop Meeting on Nov 4, 2019 were reviewed.
Building and Grounds met before the board meeting and discussed issues with junior high locker rooms, and addressed other needs of the building. They would like to move forward and get some direction from the architect. Transportation Committee has discussed future repairs and inspections of busses. |

Discussion:
The Board reviewed the letter from Todd von Kampen stating that he would no longer be the accompanist for choir. The Board wishes to thank him for his wonderful service to the district.

Discussion:
Superintendent Gaffney's report presented information on the following: successful Veteran's Day Program was held, fall sports season ended with football making it to playoffs, One Acts doing well, Reese Mechanical preparing heating system for change of season, John Victory is working on technology issues, and attending upcoming State Education Conference in Omaha.

Principal Walker's report included the following information: attended a 504 in-service, details on November 18 school in-service, PBIS update, perfect attendance, honor roll and down list.
