President Opela called the regular meeting of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in the art room at Stapleton Public Schools.

Kristy Opela attended the State NASB Conference and gave highlights of the sessions she attended.

President Opela asked if there was any public comment and referred to the guidelines in the agenda.
A community member addressed the board regarding junior high practices and not enough time to practice and also the amount of extra-curriculars that take time away from academics. |

Discussion:
The treasurer's report was presented by Superintendent Redinger.

Community Liaison
Discussion:
Bryan Regier gave his Community Liaisons' report which included: decorating the park with lights by junior chamber members, additional students, parents, and boys basketball team culminating with evening socializing on December 11th, upcoming chamber meeting, and district spelling bee on January 12th.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Eric Kloke included the following: winter sports in full swing, hosted girls wrestling meet, and the One-Act team with 33 participants finished District Champs and qualified for State with a top 5 finish.

Principal
Discussion:
Principal Walker's report included: school improvement goals, Spring 2021 NSCAS scores with Stapleton scoring well above State average in all areas, safety drills, seven correlates of effectiveness and completing certified evaluations.

School Improvement, Curriculum (January - Coop)
Discussion:
The negotiation committee will meet with teachers' committee on January 12th.
The curriculum committee met and shared topics from their meeting. |

Discussion:
Superintendent Redinger's report presented information on the following: construction project update, school residence bathroom completed, wood floor estimates, kitchen dishwasher grant, bus driver requirements, custodial/bus driver, board member workshop, School Board Policy #4031-Random Drug Testing for Employees, hail damage report, 1st annual girls wrestling tournament, foreign language teacher needed, and bus replacement grants.
