President Opela called the regular meeting of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2022, in the library at Stapleton Public Schools.

President Opela asked if there was any public comment and referred to the guidelines in the agenda.
A community member addressed the board thanking them for keeping the expenditures with the school budget at a minimal increase. |

Discussion:
The treasurer's report was presented by Superintendent Redinger.

Community Liaison
Discussion:
Superintendent Redinger presented the Community Liaison's report for Mr. Regier which included: Chamber meeting discussion of initial plans for opening/creating a daycare center in Stapleton and the annual "Trunk or Treat" downtown on October 31st. The elementary Halloween parade at school is on October 31st in the gym with classroom parties in rooms following the parade. Congratulations to Caleb Burnside, Marianne, Zuniga, Cameron Berliner, Kyle Kramer, Natalie Sheets, Kelsey Amose, Madilyn McEntee, and Lilyan Sheets for being selected 2022-2023 junior chamber members. The high school choir has been selected to perform at the Nebraska Music Educators Association in Lincoln on Thursday, November 17th, at Westbrook Music Building, room 119, at 4:00 p.m.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Eric Kloke included the following: volleyball, football and cross country updates. Football has made playoffs and cross country boys won districts. Congratulations to both teams.

Principal
Discussion:
Principal Gleisberg's report included: current enrollment, classroom observations, curriculum testing update, parent/teacher conferences, ESU 16 In-service Day highlights, staff input regarding the school year with thoughts and suggestions and cell phones.

Board Committee Reports
Discussion:
The Building and Grounds along with the Americanism committees gave highlights from both their meetings. The Foundation Committee met and have awarded dollars for teacher requests and also accountability of past dollars awarded.

Superintendent Redinger's report presented information on the following: Jorgenson's Lawn and Snow final invoice.
