President F. Kramer called the regular meeting of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2023, in the library at Stapleton Public Schools.

Discussion:
Notice of the meeting was published in the Stapleton Enterprise on Thursday, December 7, 2023, and posted at five local businesses along with notice to the president of the board and all members prior to the meeting date.

Public Comment and Recognition of Visitors
Discussion:
President F. Kramer asked if there was any public comment and referred to the guidelines in the agenda.
Duane McClain addressed the board regarding support of items on the agenda and expressed appreciation of Mr. Redinger as superintendent. Barb Doty, English teacher, addressed the board regarding her curriculum including vocabulary, graphic novels, writing, poetry, narrative fiction, drama, non-fiction and novels. |

Community Liaison
Discussion:
Bryan Regier gave his Community Liaisons' report which included: junior chamber members and November meeting, great turnout for outstanding annual Christmas Concert, great number of band and choir members selected to perform in various honor bands and choirs in January including: Maddie McEntee, Marianne Zuniga, Addie Hill, Hope Correll, Izzy Waker, JP Zuniga, Jaxon McEntee (all band) and Danielle Burd, Hope Correll, Jaxon McEntee, JP Zuniga (all choir), and the district spelling bee on January 31st at 2:00 p.m.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Jeremiah Johnson included the following: thank you to all activity bus drivers, community support phenomenal at all activities and appreciative of members of staff and community that show up and support, play production finished 4th in D1 at State, congratulations to Tessa Hansen on winning outstanding female performer for D1, thank you to Deanna Klosen, Melody Hansen and Robin Davis for their tireless efforts, junior high coaches Jed Wipplinger, Jared Arensdorf and Mark Lovitt deserve credit for being flexible with scheduling, Fall Co-op board meeting update, sports moratorium Dec 23-27, wrestlers doing well with 5 medaling so far, Maxwell Holiday Basketball Tournament Dec 18 and 19th, and kudos to Coach Deines for before school weight room work with students.

Discussion:
7-12 Principal Johnson's report included: ASVAB testing completed and semester finals and benchmarks coming up in the next week and a half.
PK-6 Principal Isom reported on the following: IEPs/MDTs, benchmarks and student progress, first half CPR training with 18 staff, Principal for a Day with Liam Clouse, Conner Kinderknecht, Micah Weems, Christmas Music Program sounded great and ended with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Grinch, preschool cocoa and cookie stand, fourteen days of Christmas spirit with elementary, secondary and staff and NDE has website for MAPS testing for students not enrolled in public school. |

The building and grounds met and discussed prioritized needs.
The negotiations committee updated on their meeting and progress with teachers committee. |

Superintendent
Discussion:
Superintendent Redinger's report presented information on the following: possibly changing January board meeting to the 15th instead of the 8th, hiring of Bob Deardoff as full-time maintenance with buses, vehicles, and custodial duties outside of regular school hours along with obtaining bus license and assisting Bo, upcoming year budget limits and Building and Grounds meeting highlights.
