President F. Kramer called the regular meeting of the Stapleton Public Schools Board of Education to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 14, 2024, in the library at Stapleton Public Schools.

Notice of the meeting was published in the Stapleton Enterprise on Thursday, October 10, 2024, and posted at five local businesses along with notice to the president of the board and all members prior to the meeting date.

President F. Kramer asked if there was any public comment and referred to the guidelines in the agenda.
Duane McClain, Stapleton Schools Foundation Chairman, addressed the Board regarding staff requests for items and those that were granted for purchase totaling $14,643. |

Community Liaison
Discussion:
Bryan Regier gave his Community Liaisons' report which included: Chamber meeting, selected Junior Chamber Members, Elementary Halloween Parade, Oct 31 @ 2:45 p.m. in gym with parties to follow along with Trunk or Treat up town later, sharing and posting pictures from school events with the newspaper and social media.

Activities Director Report
Discussion:
The Activities Director's report given by Jeremiah Johnson included the following: fall sports team records and updates, conference events for cross country and volleyball, homecoming week was a success with kudos to Student Council and staff that helped fill in the gaps, still needing coaches for junior high wrestling and boys basketball, Bridget Weems will coach junior high girls basketball with assistant Mindy Ebmeier from Tryon, MNAC Fall Conference Administrators finalized dates for conference events, AD conference in Kearney, November 9-11, updating play production and speech banners, and Co-op Board Meeting Monday, November 25th at 6 p.m in Stapleton. Special thanks to home game helpers - Chip Kramer, Josh Allen, Dale Florea, Teejay Myers, Chance Connell, Jon Walz, Nathan Weems and Scott Gaites. Also, thank you to Mr. Regier for driving to so many events for students/athletes and MCS Improvement Club for hosting concessions during our two home football games.

Principal
Discussion:
7-12 Principal Johnson's report included: all probationary teachers have had formal observations, Science and Art are being showcased this month with weekly posts on content areas, spring NSCAS scores released, ACT test preparations will take place at the end of October, parent-teacher conferences October 24th, change of no quarter grades and only semester grades for junior high and high school students, and an Honor Roll celebration will be held for students qualifying.
PK-6 Principal Isom reported on the following: IEPs/MDTs, MAPS testing for Kdg-2nd grades, Principal for a Day, RARE (Respect, Accountable, Responsible and Empathy) Program, Teacher In-Service and librarian certification. |

The Building and Grounds updated list of projects was discussed.
The Negotiations Committee should begin by November 1st for coming year. |

Superintendent Redinger's report presented information on the following: State Education Conference, community childcare, football field modifications, Senator's Roundtable on October 22nd and activity account checks.
