Discussion:
Danny Roy Perry discussed the purchase of Lot 1, Block 4 of the Industrial Park Addition. The proposed complex would include thirty units and fifteen garages. Mr. Perry said they would start with one unit and continue with two more if the first unit went well. They submitted a grant application to Nebraska Investment Finance Authority and were hoping to hear back soon on that request. There was extensive discussion on implementing a penalty if there was delay in beginning construction beyond one year.

The Mayor conducted the second reading of Ordinance 8-2021, implementing amended use of the City Sales and Use Tax; adopting the Economic Development Plan as voted upon at the general election held on November 3, 2020; establishing an Economic Development Program Application Review Committee; establishing an Economic Development Citizen Advisory Review Committee; repealing all other conflicting ordinances; and providing for an effective date.
