Council Member Val Bard then introduced Resolution 25-2019 authorizing the Mayor to sign the lease agreement with Countyline Lanes, LLC as sole provider of alcoholic beverages at the Wakefield Civic Center, and moved for its passage. Council Member Larry Soderberg introduced Ordinance 8-2019, to amend Chapter 10, Article 1, sections 103 and 119, of the municipal code to allow the consumption of alcohol at the Wakefield Civic Center and to expand the hours of sale of alcoholic liquor on Sunday; to repeal all original sections of Chapter 10, Article 1, Sections 103 and 119, and any other ordinances in conflict herewith; and to establish the effective date hereof, and moved for its final passage.
