Discussion on 1 & 6 Year Street Improvement Plan
Discussion:
Council members Soderberg and Bard then discussed the 1 and 6 Year Street Improvement Plan. Tarring the concrete in front of the firehall, blacktopping a segment of the loop between the pool and ball field, paving 6th Street between Winter and Main Street were specific projects that were discussed for the 1 Year Plan. Establishing a paving district to pave 14th Street from Main Street to Highway 35, Walnut Street, new blacktop on the old levee and Cemetery road, and the Civic Center parking lot were discussed for the 6 Year Plan.

Levee repair and storm water drainage
Discussion:
The council then discussed storm water drainage between Michael Foods' north parking lot and the Logan Creek. Administrator Litchfield informed the council that the grant through the Department of Economic Development is requiring the City to wait to let the bids for the levee repair to remain eligible to apply for those funds. Litchfield said he'd give the council an update by the end of the week.
