13.A.1. Douglas Middle School Addition Update
Discussion:
Superintendent Kevin Case stated the building permit for the Middle School project was approved. We will see equipment on site soon. The groundbreaking ceremony will be on May 22 after the End of Year Staff Breakfast.

13.A.2. DCIP Grant Update
Discussion:
Superintendent Kevin Case shared an update on the DCIP grant. The $20 million grant, combined with the federal HUD funding of $42 million, will fund the construction of the new elementary school building. This will give the district an opportunity to use the state money for other needed projects. We are currently working with the architect on the timing of the environmental impact study which is part of both funding processes.

13.A.3. Parent Caregiver Survey Overview
Discussion:
Superintendent Kevin Case shared the district results of the spring parent/caregiver survey. Even though the number of participants decreased, the Net Promoter Score increased significantly from 26.5 to 42.19 and showed positive improvements in parents feeling respected and treated well, as well as receiving positive communications from the schools about their children. Administrators will make phone calls to a randomly selected group of parents to discuss the results and gather feedback to determine the next action steps for next year.

Jo Anne Mulholland appreciates the hard work of everyone to support our military kids and families. Ben Frerichs attended the virtual Wellness Committee last week. A staff survey on wellness will be forthcoming to all staff. Tonya Welch attended the Curriculum Coordinating Council today. Tanya Gray concluded with thanks to all our teachers. |
