A. Call hearing to order

Discussion: Tax Hearing called to order at 7:15 pm.

Motion by Knoerzer seconded by Moore to excuse Huyser and Diefenbaugh. Motion passed 4-0-2.

B. Hearing to discuss the 2026-2027 Elwood Public School Property Tax Request.

Discussion: Superintendent Hatch reviewed the effective tax rate for 2025-2026 (this is the most current information available). Superintendent Hatch also reviewed the tax asking/levy comparison. This chart shows tax asking and levy back to 2015-2016. The Board of Education also reviewed valuation comparisons back to 2015-2016. Superintendent Hatch also read the tax resolution and reviewed the tax asking summary. Superintendent Hatch then answered questions.

C. Public Comment

Discussion: No public comment was received.

D. Adjournment
