6.1. Curriculum Committee Report
Discussion:
The Curriculum Committee did not hold a meeting for the month.

6.2. Facilities Committee Report
Discussion:
Dr. Upp reported for the Facilities Committee which discussed the introduction of security camera use at the High School. The committee met at the High School and inquired where the cameras would be placed. Dr. Upp stated that having the security cameras will be a nice addition to the safety aspect of the school. The cameras will be IP cameras and will provide access directly to the Gering Police Department.

Discussion:
Mr. Doll reported for the Business Committee which approved the AP listing for the month. They also discussed the security camera proposal, food service contract with Taher, and the rising lunch prices.

Graduation Week Comments Facilities Committee Work
Discussion:
Mr. Hastings was extremely impressed by the hard work and dedication the students and staff possessed in all the events that were held this last week. Mr. Hastings also updated the board members with information regarding the Facilities Advisory Group conclusions and when they will meet to discuss their findings with the Board of Education. The Board was also given a hiring update. Gering Public Schools is almost completely staffed, with just a few vacancies to fill for the 16-17 school year.

9. Board Comments
Discussion:
The board gave their gratitude to the teachers who are dedicated to the Gering Public School District. The members were fascinated by the High School musical production this year and couldn't give enough compliments to the musical crew. High School graduation turned out remarkable along with the priceless speeches that were given during the ceremony. The Journalism Class was given congratulations for taking first at State Championships.
