4. Discuss, consider and take all necessary action with regard to the Findings and Recommendations of the Selection Committee for the position of Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) for the proposed project to construct additions and renovations to the existing Gering Public Schools high school building under the Political Subdivisions Construction Alternatives Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. ยงยง 13-2901, et. seq.
Discussion:
The CM@R Selection Committee interviewed three construction firms; FCI, Sampson, and Hausmann. All were scored using criteria defined by policy and state law. The CM@R Selection Committee has recommended Hausmann Construction.

5. Report on progress of meetings with RB+B Architects
Discussion:
The board reviewed information from recent architect and GHS staff meetings related to the project. Revisions to the plans will continue to be made over the next weeks and months. Areas being discussed include drainage, HVAC, service tunnels as well as overall design of the building. Change order procedures were also discussed. |
