Discussion:  Don Hague, Superintendent, and Becky Michael, Instructional Coach at Northfield Elementary/Leadership Team Representative,were in attendance at the Curriculum Committee.

Discussion:  The draft of the 2013-2014 Gering Public School Calendar was reviewed. To date, no negative feedback has been received regarding the calendar. It will be run through every committee before submission to full board. Hague indicated Gering Public Schools is creating a facebook page. The draft calendar will be submitted for comment through this source. He will share any feedback received.

Discussion:  The budget transactions for the month of December, 2012 were reviewed. The Title I-Delinquent budget was added to the recap.

Discussion:  There were no travel requests received during the month of December, 2012. Hague indicated that Tim Meisner, Business Director for Gering Public Schools, and Lavon Hood, Business Director for Scottsbluff Public Schools will be traveling to GNSA later this month.

Discussion:  A survey was prepared by the Curriculum Committee to be distributed to all K-8 certified staff. Winn visited the Northfield Elementary and thanked Michael for her time during the visit.

Discussion:  The next Curriculum Committee meeting will be held on February 7, 2013 @ 7:00 a.m. This meeting will be at the Central Office Board Room.
