5.1. Board Committee Report: Curriculum & Personnel
Discussion:
Tracy Wiese reported an update on the strategic plan, the annual emergency safety plan and the NSCA's 4 year trend data. The committee also spoke about the TNTP. There is also a scheduled safety day on September 16th for all staff and October 18th a Teacher Clarity Continous Improvement. On November 6-9th AMLE conference will be going to Nashville, TN this year. The professional development is paid for by a federal grant and not taxpayer dollars.
|
5.2. Board Committee Report: Business & Facilities
Discussion:
Greg Trautman- Budget review, relief moving in the right direction. ESSER funding has ended for the 24-25 school year. Discussed saving money and putting more cents in the QCPUF for security infrastructure. The new preschool building is almost done just flooring needed to be finished and now waiting for the State Fire Marshall's occupancy permit. There were some changes to the maintenance team. We still are looking for an HVAC maintenance person. Bringing more professional development to the maintenance and custodial teams. The added professional development can help save the district in insurance premiums by providing more knowledge to the teams on how to keep facilities safe. We are going to provide more of a uniform look so students know who they are when they are in the buildings. It will bring a sense of pride and they are wanting the uniforms. We did add a carpenter to our staff.
