Discussion:
Principal Houck listed the February students of the month which included the overall elementary student of the month - Maverick Hiebner. February Teachers of the Month were Sherry Thiesen and Cindy Goff. She also reported that Karla Cool was chosen as a top 10 finalist in Nebraska for her essay in the American Mothers 5th Grade Essay Contest. The elementary students will start receiving "Caught Doing Good" wristbands from the principal. Finally, she reported that Glenn Larson visited a Kindergarden reading session with Mrs. Peters class.
Mr. Carr reported on student accomplishments including FFA state competition qualifiers, FBLA winners at Peru State College competition, the boy's basketball team competing in the upcoming state tournament, the Sr. High Band playing at the Nebraska Danger game last Saturday, and Grace Janzen qualifying for the State Geography Bee on March 27th. He also discussed upcoming events.
