I. Call Meeting to Order
Rationale:
STRIVE • COMMIT • SUCCEED - District Mission Statement Notice of this meeting was given in advance according to State Law 84-1411, by giving notice of the meeting to the public. Notice of this meeting was also given in advance to all members of the Board of Education
Discussion:
The meeting was called to order in the SCHS east gym by President Jedlicka at 3:45 PM.

Rationale:
This meeting has been preceded by advance notice and is hereby declared to be in open session. A copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted in the hallway outside the Media Center.

II.A. Recognition of visitors and guests
Discussion:
Superintendent Stevens recognized Don Loseke and Rita Lange who represented the Nebraska Department of Education. He thanked all who helped prepare for the visit by the AdvancEd team. He introduced the members of the AdvancEd External Team Members: Dr. Sharon Knudsen, Team Leader; Julie Otero, Associate Team Leader; Kate Damgaard, Wayne King, and Andy Luebbe.

II.B. AdvanED External Team Exit Report
Discussion:
Dr. Knudsen complimented SCS for the hard work and preparation than began eighteen months prior to their visit. She stated that AdvancEd is an
international protocol for school systems committed to systemic, systematic and sustainable improvement. It builds capacity of the district and its schools to increase and sustain student learning, stimulate and improves effectiveness and efficiency throughout the organization. The team interviewed 114 stakeholders in the district including parents, students, teachers, school board members, administrators, and support staff.
She stated that she will recommend SCS to be approved for district accreditation.
