I.
Call to order, roll call, welcome visitors.
Discussion:
A meeting of the Construction Manager at Risk Selection Committee of the Board of Education of the Schuyler Community Schools ("Selection Committee") was convened in open and public session on January 28, 2019, at 8:55 a.m. in the high school music room located at 401 Adam Street, Schuyler, Nebraska, or other designated room of such Schuyler Community School building. The roll was called and the following Selection Committee members were present or absent:
Richard Brabec (Board) X Mynor Hernandez (Board) Absent Chuck Misek (Board) X Virginia Semerad (Board) X Brian Vavricek (Board) X Dan Hoesing (Administration) X Tim Ripp (Architect) X Don Glodowski (Construction Expert) X Richard Seckman (Resident) X Also present: Derek Aldridge, School District legal counsel. |

Acknowledge Open Meeting Laws.
Discussion:
Notice of the meeting was given in advance by posting in accordance with the Board approved method for giving notice of meetings. Notice of this meeting was given in advance to all members of the Selection Committee. Availability of the agenda was communicated in the posted notice and a current copy of the Agenda was maintained as stated in the posted notice. All proceedings of the Selection Committee, except as may be hereinafter noted, were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
The meeting was duly called to order. Announcement of Open Meetings Act Posting: At the beginning of this meeting, the Chairperson announced and informed the public that a current copy of the Open Meetings Act is posted on the wall of the meeting room. |

III.
Approval of Minutes from January 23, 2019 Selection Committee meeting.
Discussion:
Approval of Minutes of January 23, 2019 Selection Committee Meeting: Member Seckman noted a scrivener’s error in the last sentence of the second page of the Minutes—being the date stated as "20198". Member Seckman made a motion to approve the minutes of the meeting of the Selection Committee on January 23, 2019, subject to correction of the scrivener’s error on the last sentence of the second page. Member Semerad seconded the motion. After discussion and on roll call vote the following members voted as follows:

IV.
Discuss, consider and take all necessary action with regard to proposals received from prospective candidates for the position of Construction Manager at Risk for the proposed additions and renovations to the existing Schuyler Central High School building project; such action to include interviews of the candidates determined by the Selection Committee to be finalists for the CM@R position for the Project, and the development and adoption of findings, recommendations and ranking in order of preference of the finalist CM@R candidates for presentation to the Board of Education.
Discussion:
Interviews of Construction Manager Candidates: The Selection Committee conducted interviews of the three (3) firms determined by the Selection Committee to be finalists for the position of construction manager at risk for the proposed construction of the SCC Lincoln Health Science Building project (the Project). The firms interviewed were:
Name of Firm Interview Time B-D Construction, Inc. January 28, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Hausmann Construction, Inc. January 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Bierman Contracting / Sampson Construction January 28, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Evaluation of Construction Management Candidates. The Selection Committee deliberated regarding the evaluation of the firms for the position of construction manager at risk for the Project. Following such deliberation, the Selection Committee collectively evaluated each firm based upon the selection criteria established in the request for proposals for the Project and prepared findings, recommendations and rankings with regard to each finalist firm, and determined the Selection Committee’s collective recommendation to the Board of Education of the ranking of the three (3) firms in order of preference. Motion to Adopt Findings, Recommendations and Rankings: On the basis of such findings, recommendations and rankings, member Brabec made a motion that the Selection Committee should and does hereby adopt the Findings, Recommendations and Rankings attached to these minutes, and pursuant thereto, ranks the three (3) finalist firms as follows: 1 Hausmann Construction, Inc. 2 Bierman Contracting / Sampson Construction 3 B-D Construction, Inc. Member Vavricek seconded the motion.
